The project involves the conservative restoration and partial renovation of a historic building, the former MPS headquarters, located in the heart of Milan, near Piazza della Scala and just steps from Piazza Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
The design, developed by Asti Architetti, partially changes the building’s use from office to commercial, adding retail spaces on the ground floor, mezzanine, and first basement, while retaining office use on the upper floors.
Upon completion, the building obtained LEED, BREEAM, and WELL Building Standard certifications through the LEED v4 for Core and Shell, BREEAM International RFO 2015, and WELL v2 Core protocols. This reflects a strong commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
